Colonel Myrick enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in December 1986, as a Pharmacy Technician. Upon completing Basic Training and AIT she served at the 80th General Hospital in Chicago, IL. She graduated from the Reserve Officer Training Corp program at Austin Peay State University Dec 1990 and received her commission in the Finance Corp as a Second Lieutenant. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Public Management-Concentration in Healthcare from Austin Peay State University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle, PA.
Colonel Myrick recently served as the Assistant Chief of Staff G8 at the Army Reserve Medical Command. Her command assignments include Headquarters Headquarters Detachment 2nd Battalion/381st Regiment in Grand Prairie, TX; 2205th Mobilization Support Battalion in Shreveport, LA; and 321st Special Troops Battalion in Baton Rouge, LA.
Colonel Myrick’s other assignments include Budget Analyst at the 125th Army Reserve Command (ARCOM), Nashville, TN; Internal Review Program Officer at the 90th Army Reserve Command (ARCOM), San Antonio, TX; Adjutant General Platoon Leader Observer/Controller at the 2nd Battalion, 381st REGT, 3rd BDE, 75th Division (E) in Dallas, TX; S3 Operations Officer and Adjutant at the 2/381st Training Support Battalion, 4th BDE, 75th Division (TS), Grand Prairie, TX; Finance Officer and Deputy Comptroller at the 75th Battle Command Training Division, Houston, TX; she also served as the J8-Forward Execution Branch Chief, Bravo Company, III Corps Special Troop Battalion (USF-I), Baghdad, Iraq; Executive Officer at the Fort Hood Mobilization Brigade, Fort Hood, TX; and Comptroller at 4th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), San Antonio, TX.
Colonel Myrick’s decorations include a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster; Army Commendation Medal with two Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster; Joint Services Achievement Medal with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster; Reserve Component Achievement Medal with 4 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Medal with one Bronze Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with one Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Silver Hourglass and “M” Device with Numeral 2 Device, Army Overseas Ribbon and Army Service Ribbon.
Colonel Myrick resides in Irving, TX. She is a SR Business Development Consultant at NTT Data, Inc and serves on the City of Irving Housing and Human Services Board.
