Chief Master Sergeant Brian L. Bischoff is the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) in Norfolk, Virginia. As CSEL, Chief Bischoff is charged with the readiness, organizing, training, equipping, training and deployment of the joint capabilities provided by the Joint Planning Support Element and the Joint Communications Support Element. The JECC is designed to efficiently and effectively meet joint task force commanders' requirements for a rapidly deployable, tailored team of experts in plans, operations, knowledge management, intelligence support, logistics, public affairs and communications. He advises the Commander and staff on mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale and welfare of the units enlisted members and takes action to address shortfalls and challenges.
Chief Bischoff enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1990. His active duty background includes various duties in communications and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance operations, and as an Air Education and Training Command school house instructor. Chief Bischoff joined the Air Force Reserve in August 2004. He has served as a Traditional Reservist and Individual Mobilization Augmentee. His assignments include bases in California, Alabama, Washington D.C., Florida, North Carolina, Arkansas and Georgia. The Chief also served overseas in Germany and has been deployed to Afghanistan.
